'Ember I' is the first of two mobiles commissioned for the Galaxy Casino in Macau. Made from hand dyed silk and stainless steel, the mobile is 2m high and 1m wide. I have used a full palette of reds, from dark plum and raspberry to vermillion and gold. The mobile is installed in a room filled with gold décor, and the red of the mobile 'petals' glows against the golden background.
